  • Overview

    This position is responsible for establishing standard invoicing, cash receipts and collection processes and ensuring the reconciliation of unbilled balances and retainer billed amounts. This position is also responsible for the monitoring cash collections and outstanding receivable balances. In addition, this position oversees the Company’s accounts receivable billing and cash collection staff, ensuring the effective design, implementation, maintenance and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and oversee the invoice process, which includes the quarterly batch billing and monthly billing processes
    • Establish and oversee the cash receipts process to ensure the proper application of cash receipt by client account
    • Establish and oversee the management of outstanding invoices, the process for interfacing with customers on collection matters and dispute resolution
    • Interface with Partners and accost owners on key client accounts to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collection of accounts receivable
    • Monitor the status of the accounts receivable aging on a frequent basis, monthly at a minimum, ensuring to elevate clients who are a collections concern
    • Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
    • Work with staff to ensure continuous improvement of the invoice and collection processes, ensuring to focus on the effective use of technology
    • Manage the allowance for doubtful accounts analysis and recommendations of account write-offs
    • Support the annual external audit

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required – major in accounting required
    • Three or more years of supervisory experience
    • Three or more years working with NetSuite Application
    • Demonstrated professional integrity
    • Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment
    • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
    • Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
