  • Overview

    Position Objective:

    The Senior Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst performs day-to-day activities necessary to support ACCA in meeting its financial reporting and analysis needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform account reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and perform other support activities are part of the monthly financial close process for ACA’s domestic and international affiliates
    • Prepare monthly financial statements and related financial analysis
    • Assist management in developing policies and procedures that improve existing practices and strengthen internal controls
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and process intercompany transactions
    • Prepare annual state tax apportionment schedules
    • Prepare annual personal property returns
    • Prepare miscellaneous monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
    • Assist management in developing annual budgets and forecasts
    • Support management in completing annual financial , property, and other audits
    • Perform financial analysis and assist management in meeting its financial planning and reporting needs
    • Perform other ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support the various value-added initiatives

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from accredited college or university required
    • Certified Public Accountant designation (CPA) preferred
    • Seven (7) or more years of progressively more responsible accounting work experience, preferably in a  professional services, or project-based environment
    • Deltek Vision accounting system experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of accounting/financial management principles
    • Demonstrated professional integrity
    • Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs
    • Ability to work well in a fast paced, small team environment
    • Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
    • Highly motived and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
    • Dedicated to upholding ACA’s high quality standards and customer service focus
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail  
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise discretion, professional judgement, and make independent decisions on matters of significance for ACA and/or ACA clients
    • Proficient with Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel
    • Willing to undertake minimal travel
    • Available for work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including occasional nights and weekends
