  • Overview

    The individual in this position is responsible for the management of the benefit processes for U.S. entities of ACA Compliance Group (“ACA”), which includes the oversight of the benefits department, e collaboration with ACA’s payroll and HR teams, and cultivating relationships with ACA’s benefits brokers, vendors, and external auditors.


    • Develop, recommend, and administer various benefits and compliance plans, policies, and procedures for ACA personnel, including the preparation, dissemination and maintenance of documentation and communications
    • Plan, organize, and oversee activities of ACA’s benefits team, including playing a role in the development of department-wide goals, objectives, and systems and the subsequent evaluation of such goals, objectives, and systems
    • Management and oversight of benefit offerings across multiple entities, ensuring fair, equitable, and competitive benefits packages that are aligned with ACA’s strategy and business goals
    • Ensure the processing of benefits for new hires, life events, and open enrollments are completed accurately and timely
    • Detail review and continuing analysis of benefit offerings, processes and procedures in order to recommend and implement new, enhanced, better offerings and changes leading to best-practice operations
    • Regularly conduct audits for accuracy of benefit deductions, processes, provider invoices and reporting
    • Work with ACA’s finance, accounting, and HR teams to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
    • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
    • Monitor payroll activity to ensure proper deductions of employee payroll, and timely payment to providers; reconciling payroll vs payments to providers
    • Identify gaps, provide solutions and ensure controls are in place for benefit related activities
    • Ensure all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements are adhered to, keeping up to date with changes and ensuring data protection and risk requirements are adhered to
    • Manage and support any internal and external audit functions
    • Manage benefit transition process for mergers and acquisitions
    • Maintain up to date knowledge on industry regulations and best practices to implement properly for the firm
    • Assist with coaching, training and providing support to ACA’s supervisors, hiring managers, and executive management on HR best practices regarding benefits, as well as equal opportunity and discrimination factors
    • Supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to junior colleagues
    • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives


    • Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience required, with a concentration in human resources, business administration or a comparable field preferred
    • CBP, CEBS, or similar certification required
    • Eight years’ experience in benefit management, people management and benefit administration of multi-entity company
    • Experience with benefit offerings, administration and management in a professional services company
    • Experience working in a professional services company that handled benefits for W2 employees and K1 partnership reporting preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of ERISA as well as federal and state laws and regulations surrounding benefits
    • Experience with benefits open enrollment, changes, carrier connections through an in house HRIS system required; experience with UltiPro platform preferred
    • Experience with benefit system implementation and enhancement preferred
    • Experience with benefit transition for mergers and acquisitions preferred
    • Knowledge of benefits for international secondments preferred
    • Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments on matters of significance

    • Willing to undertake minimal travel
    • Available for work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including outside of normal business hours and/or weekends
